President
Michael
Mazer has over 15 years of investment banking experience in the telecommunications field. Since 1993, he has personally
handled more transactions for owners of minority cellular
interests and privately owned local exchange carriers than
anyone else in the field.
Before
launching Mazer Telecom Advisors, Michael was Senior Vice
President of Falkenberg Capital Corporation, where he directed
the company's investment banking efforts in the independent
telephone company industry.
Prior
to that, Mazer held a variety of management posts in media,
marketing and financial management, including:
Advertising Finance Manager at TIME Magazine, responsible
for managing operating budgets for sales, marketing, promotion
and public affairs divisions of TIME.
Finance Manager in Group Advertising Sales, TIME, Inc. Magazine
Company, responsible for all financial aspects of company-wide
advertising sales discount programs.
Financial
Manager at SAMI/Burke, Inc. (a consumer product marketing
company), consulting with senior management to develop corporate
pricing strategies for new and existing services.
Senior Compensation Analyst at Home Box Office, Inc, supervising
and coordinating professional staff of compensation analysts
and system support personnel.
Senior Analyst in the Public Finance Department at The First
Boston Corporation, providing investment banking services
to state and local governments by raising capital through
the issuance of tax-exempt securities.
Michael graduated from Yale University in 1978 with a BA degree
in Administrative Science.

Paul
Lit
Vice
President
Paul
Lit has several years of experience managing acquisitions
and divestitures in the telecommunications industry.
Before joining Mazer Telecom Advisors, Paul was with Qwest
and U S WEST for nine years. He is familiar with all aspects
of the local exchange business from his experience as Executive
Director of Corporate Development where he managed the sale
of nearly $2 billion of telephone exchanges from strategy
and property evaluation through auction, contract negotiations,
due diligence and closing. Other functions Paul managed for
this RBOC include internal audit, revenue assurance and program
management for systems installation.
Paul has also held a variety of management positions in finance,
manufacturing and management consulting including:
CFO for VNA of Colorado, a healthcare services provider, Osmotics
Corporation, a manufacturer of cosmetics and pharmaceuticals,
and Ecopac, a venture funded developer of non-aerosol spray
containers, where he managed financial restructuring, installation
of controls and fundraising.
Assistant to the President of Tate & Lyle N.A., responsible
for business development and M&A, including the acquisition
of the Great Western Sugar Company out of bankruptcy, subsequent
due diligence and start up. As VP for Western Sugar, managed
the ongoing strategy, distribution and purchasing.
VP of Operations for Selvac, a developer and manufacturer
of personal care appliances, and Production Supervisor / Mill
Trainer for Johnson and Johnson.
Management Consultant for Cresap, McCormick and Paget (now
part of Towers Perrin), specializing in process improvement
for companies in the airline, construction and petroleum industries.
Paul graduated in 1973 from Drexel University with a BSBA
degree and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania
with an MBA degree in Finance in 1978.
